Submissions

The Farrier Guide is looking for your article submissions! Continue reading below for more details about exactly what we’re looking for.

» Factual articles – If you’re knowledgeable about horses or farriery and want to write an article on any equine-related topic that’s between 800 and 2000 words, feel free to submit it to us. We recommend that you browse our site first to get a feel for what we’ve published in the past before you send in your completed article.

» Horse stories – We’re also interested in receiving funny, inspirational or otherwise interesting stories about horses and horse care, regardless of whether they’re completely fictional or involve personal anecdotes from your life. These stories should range between 800 and 2000 words.

A note on links – We will accept external links in your submissions, but these must be included in the bio only, as opposed to the body of the article. Each author will have the opportunity to add a bio of approximately 50 words to the end of their piece, in which both social media and web links can be provided. If you’d prefer to publish without a bio, that’s also fine.

A note on editing – We edit all articles that come in, so please expect your piece to be slightly changed from the original when you see it published on our site. We do accept submissions that have been simultaneously submitted to other sites, but we’d like you to inform us of this when you’re submitting an article.

Please send any completed submission to contact@thefarrierguide.com. At that point, an editor will review it and let you know if it’s a good fit for publication.
